Who
are we?
Open Pages is a cabaret for performers who are looking to collaborate with others, experiment with material they couldn't do anywhere else, and let go!
Founders and producers, Charlie Aldrich and Lydia Wagner, found themselves missing opportunities to create whatever they wanted, to be a little reckless with their work, and to take big risks. When they reached out to LUSH in Minneapolis, they were told that LUSH actually had a monthly opening in their calendar and were looking for someone to call their performance space home.
Since then, Charlie and Lydia have been helping foster and bring together some of the most creative musical performers in town to create monthly cabarets, each with their own unique theme!
How
can I get involved?
Open Pages is always looking for more performers! Our performance slots are limited each month but that doesn't mean we aren't looking for more performers to join us throughout the year. We have never had a formal audition process so if you are interested, please email us at openpagesmpls@gmail.com
What's
next?
Open Pages has a one night only concert planned for this July 8th. Beyond that, Charlie and Lydia are still working towards what Open Pages looks like today. We hope to be back very soon with more info and more music.
Open Pages is also committed to creating a safe performing space for BIPOC artists. We believe that Black lives matter and have taken this time to learn about our own part in the systemic racism present in the performing arts industry.
